Brighten Your January with Megan & Willow: A Local Day Trip Story

Updated: Apr 20

How has January been for you?

Christmas and New Year are over. Now, we’re all settling back into our daily routines. Many people say that January feels like it’s lasted 265 days! The shorter days, dark mornings, endless rain, and blustery winds may leave us feeling a bit S.A.D. (Seasonal Affective Disorder).

To brighten things up, we’d love to share a delightful story about a local day trip with our beloved dogs, Megan and Willow. Despite the cold, the end of January brought a lovely sunny day—perfect for an outing!

Who Are Megan and Willow?

For those who don’t know them, Megan and Willow are our cherished pets. Here’s a fun question: Can you guess which one is the black dog? 🤔

Another question—if you've ever spoken with us while ordering, did you notice our accent? Was it Geordie, Scouse, or Brummy?

Our Grand Day Out

We live near the coast, and on this crisp winter day, we decided to explore West Kirby Marina. It was the ideal opportunity to enjoy the fresh air. You may wonder how far is the walk around the marina. It’s about 1.47 miles!

Before we started our adventure, we made one essential stop at the local chippy. We treated ourselves to sausage, chips, and curry. We found a sheltered bench to enjoy our meal, while Megan and Willow watched with eager eyes. Especially Megan, our black Labrador, who would eat non-stop if we let her! Of course, we wouldn’t; we love her too much to overfeed her. Fun fact: she will turn 11 in April!

The dogs had a fantastic time meeting other dogs and their owners. We watched windsurfers riding the waves on their hydrofoil boards, which was an impressive sight.

Fun Fact About West Kirby Marina

On January 3, 2012, British sailor and windsurfer Steve Thorp set a world speed windsurfing record at West Kirby Marina. He reached an incredible speed of 50.48 knots, which is just over 58 miles per hour!

Back Home & A New Product Announcement!

After our little adventure, we returned home. The dogs collapsed into their beds for a well-deserved nap, while we settled down with a comforting cup of tea. Our conversation quickly turned to something exciting— a brand-new product we’re about to launch!

What is a CPSR, you ask? CPSR stands for Cosmetic Product Safety Report. It’s a legal requirement to sell cosmetics in the UK.

Introducing Our New Product

So what’s our new product? We’ll be launching a Magnesium Cream in February! One of our daughters suffers from eczema. This inspired us to find gentle, skin-friendly products that wouldn’t strip the skin of its natural oils or cause irritation.

Benefits of Magnesium Cream

What are the benefits of Magnesium Cream? This cream is designed to hydrate, nourish, and renew your skin. Magnesium helps the body produce ceramides, which strengthen the skin barrier and lock in moisture. This can be especially helpful for conditions like eczema. Additionally, it can reduce stress, a common trigger for flare-ups, and contains calming ingredients to promote better sleep.
