How has January been for you?
Christmas and New Year are over, and we’re all settling back into the daily routine.
I’ve heard so many people say that January feels like it’s lasted 265 days! Some of
us may even be feeling a little S.A.D. (Seasonal Affective Disorder) with the shorter days, dark mornings, endless rain, and blustery winds.
So, we thought we’d brighten things up by sharing a little story about a local day trip with Megan & Willow. It was the end of January, and although it was cold, the sun was shining, and the skies were dry—perfect for a much-needed outing! Who are Megan & Willow?
For those who don’t know, Megan & Willow are our two beloved dogs.
But here’s a question for you… Which one is the black one? 🤔
And here’s another: if you've ever spoken to us when ordering, you may have noticed an accent. But what kind? Geordie, Scouse, or Brummy?
Our ‘Grand Day Out’
We live near the coast, and as it was such a bright and crisp winter day, we decided to make the most of it with a walk around West Kirby Marina. Now, you might be wondering—how far is the walk around the marina? It’s 1.47 miles!
Before setting off, we made an essential stop at the local chippy and treated ourselves to sausage, chips, and curry. We found a sheltered bench to enjoy our meal while Megan & Willow watched us intently—especially Megan, our black Labrador, who (like most Labs) would eat until she burst if we let her! We wouldn’t, of course. we love her too much.
Did you know she’ll be 11 in April? The dogs had a fantastic time meeting other dogs and their owners, and we even got to watch the windsurfers on their hydrofoil boards.
Fun Fact: On 3rd January 2012, British sailor and windsurfer Steve Thorp set a world speed windsurfing record at West Kirby Marina, reaching an incredible 50.48 knots thats just over 58 miles per hour !!
Back Home & A New Product Announcement!
After our little adventure, we headed home, the dogs collapsed into their beds for a well-earned nap, and we settled in with a cup of tea. Our conversation turned to something exciting—a brand-new product we’ve just received the CPSR for! What is a CPSR?
It stands for Cosmetic Product Safety Report, a legal requirement for selling cosmetics in the UK.
So, what’s our new product? We’re launching a Magnesium Cream in February!
One of our daughters suffers from eczema, which led us on a journey to find gentle, skin-friendly products that wouldn’t strip the skin of its natural oils or cause irritation.
What Are the Benefits of Magnesium Cream? This cream is designed to hydrate, nourish, and renew your skin. Magnesium helps the body produce ceramides, which strengthen the skin barrier, locking in moisture and helping with conditions like eczema. It can also reduce stress, a common trigger for flare-ups, and contains soothing ingredients to help you sleep better.

Well, look at the time. I need to get back to making more products!
We hope you enjoy this new format, and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
Oh I almost forgot the competition question.
