I had always wanted to try making cold process soap and finally the opportunity arose when my husband gave me the fabulous birthday present of going on a soap making course. I learnt how to correctly make cold process soap, the benefits of making and using handmade soaps and how it is better for your skin and the planet.
Once you start, you realise how wonderful it is to be able to make, use and share with others something that you have created! Finally, after many months of research, practise and willing volunteers of friends and family to test the soap (and some people asking to buy it!), I decided to get ready to sell my soap.
All of my soap is 100% handmade by myself, using the traditional cold process method, using the best oils, butters and essential oils and curing them for at least 4-6 weeks. My soap has a great lather, creamy with lots of natural glycerine and each batch is weighed, mixed, poured, cut and finished by myself.
There is no palm oil, parabens (preservatives), sulfates (foaming agents), SLS or SLES (foaming agents), detergents, animal fat, Melt & Pour, synthetic fragrances, plastic wrap or emulsifiers in my soap – just olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter, castor oil and essential oil, so it is 100% vegetable oil, not tested on animals and suitable for vegans. Since all my soaps are handmade, they differ slightly from batch-to-batch with regard to colour, shape or appearance.
All of my products have a Cosmetic Product Safety
Report (CPSR) and are safety assessed by a
Chartered Chemist.
